A helpful local community starts with respectful neighbors, real conversations and safe sharing.
Last updated: October 31, 2026 · These rules apply to community posts, photographs, likes, comments, replies and events.
1. Treat neighbors with respect
Be helpful and considerate, including when you disagree.
No harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, stalking or incitement to violence.
No unwanted sexual content or targeted insults. Do not encourage others to gang up on a neighbor or business.
2. Protect privacy and children
Never reveal another person's home address, private phone number, email, financial information, license plate or real-time location without permission.
Share photos of other people—especially children—only when you have appropriate permission. Do not post children's identifying information or routine locations.
A nickname, profile picture, city and published posts may be visible to the public. Avoid disclosing private details about yourself.
Do not use community content to track, contact repeatedly, intimidate or expose another person.
3. No disguised advertising or spam
No scams, impersonation, fake reviews, manufactured likes, fraudulent discounts, misleading services or fabricated emergencies.
Businesses and paid promoters must identify commercial relationships honestly. Use NOWGO Business rather than the neighborhood feed to advertise services.
Business promotions must be relevant and not overwhelm local conversations. Do not repeatedly post unsolicited advertising or referral links.
Avoid sharing unverified accusations about individuals or businesses as established facts.
4. Keep posts and photos appropriate
Use photos and text you created or have permission to share. Respect copyrights and trademarks.
No graphic violence, explicit sexual images, illegal goods, threats, or instructions for harmful or unlawful conduct.
Post local questions, everyday updates and events only in the city registered on your account, with accurate descriptions and times. Request a city change through support if you move.
Do not post dangerous medical or legal claims as professional advice when you are not qualified to provide it.
5. Events and meeting safely
Every new event must be reviewed and approved by NOWGO before becoming public. Submitting an event does not publish it immediately. Event organizers remain responsible for the accuracy of their event details, necessary permissions and participant safety. NOWGO does not supervise events or guarantee attendance. When meeting someone you do not know, choose a safe public location when possible and do not share private home or workplace details without good reason.
6. Reporting and moderation
Use ••• → Report post or Report comment for specific content. To report a neighbor’s whole account, open their public profile or choose ••• → Report account. For a business, use Report Business on its listing. Reports are confidential and sent to NOWGO administrators. Reports alone do not automatically suspend an account. NOWGO may review reports, remove content, and restrict accounts. Deliberately false reports are not allowed. Do not assume reports are monitored continuously.
If there is an immediate threat, contact emergency services directly. NOWGO is not an emergency reporting system.
Our goal: Make it easy to talk with neighbors, share real experiences and enjoy local events. Business ratings belong on business profiles, not in community posts.
